Erica Laine is the president of an Aquitaine Historical Society and through that organisation came to know about Isabella of Angoulême, the subject of her trilogy.
She will be talking about her books Isabella of Angoulême, The Tangled Queen and how she came to discover Isabella and began the long journey of writing the books. She will discuss research and the writing process from her first inkling that she might write creatively through to publication.
There will be local 13th century history as Isabella was very much a local girl and woman. Wife and widow of King John she was Countess of Angoulême in her own right. There will be a richly illustrated PowerPoint presentation.
